MISSION

Education: Providing medical education both in undergraduate and graduate levels and ethics training for research assistants together with planning seminars, panels, conferences (TETKON) and courses within the frame of continuing professional development/medical education.

Research:As part of a research university, to plan, conduct and publish interdisciplinary, original, valid and reliable research with inter-institutional and international cooperation, using appropriate research methods in the fields of bioethics, medical ethics, clinical ethics and medical history.

Counseling: Primarily, to raise awareness of the bioethical dimensions of institutional and national policies and to make suggestions in this direction, to provide consultancy on ethical issues concerning medical ethics, clinical ethics, research and publication ethics.

VISION
To be nationally and internationally recognized and followable in the field of medical ethics and bioethics by educating good physicians who are aware of the ethical and professional values of their profession, developing scientific knowledge and raising ethical awareness of society and professionals working in the field of bioethics.
