This years World Bioethics Day has celebrated in collaboration with the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine the Department of History of Medicine and Ethics, and the Hacettepe University Center for Bioethics and MEDISEP where students, academicians and Dr. Hamza met to discuss the theme “The Protection of the Environment, Biosphere, and Biodiversity" (Article 17 of the UNESCO Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights).
The event
addressed the Humanitarian Crises and Ethical Violations through the documentary "For Sama" (2019) which provides a woman's perspective experiences she had during the war with her child in Syria.
The event took place
on Monday, 20 October 2025, from 12:30 to 15:30, at the New Senate Hall of the Rectorate Building, Sıhhiye Campus and discussions was enriched by the participation of Dr. Hamza Al-Kateab via Zoom who responded the questions from the audience in detail and sincerely.
It was a great pleasure to have Dr. Hamza who helped us better understand the effects of war on society, environment and protecting future generations
as he shared facts and reality.
